I agree its probably just a weird angle...especially just because if it was faked....why?
That said, as a VFX artist I will say that while your comments on layering are not inaccurate.....AI driven rotoscoping solutions are becoming more and more common and they can lead to some really weird quirks that you'd never see from a 100% human driven solution.

Was this one AI rotoscoped and deepfaked? Nah....I don't think so. Probably a weird angle where truth is stranger then fiction. Still...I'm at the point I have a hard time writing people off as paranoid.
