Trump lost the vote in lower income groups. this was also true in 2016, though by a narrower margin.

It is not the poor, rural, "white working class" that people like to say got Trump elected. It's the much more electorally engaged suburban petit bourgeoisie who voted for him in high numbers.

Edit: Adding this article about the Poor Peoples Campaign aiding voter turnout of individuals earning <$50k, increasing the Dem margin. Joe Biden still sucks, and I am unwilling to play into the lib idea that the Dems are somehow not racist shitheads, too. If you vote for a major party in the US, you are voting for racism, sexism, homophobia, and anti-poor policy. But your argument that poor people got Trump elected is also incredibly ill-informed.

Biden lost a significant part of the minority vote compared to last time though. It wasn't significant enough mostly IMO because of COVID mismanagement but it was still after and considering the BLM protests.

The takeaway from the election should be if Trump was even 10% more competent by fighting for the checks sooner and not fucking COVID so badly he would have won, and realistically that is exactly what the Dems wanted too.

Different from the OP this shouldn't be used to pass judgement on the working class but rather to realize that the Dems are doing literally nothing/almost nothing to help with material conditions and that will have consequences.

One doesn't have to actively hate to contribute to a culture that allows hate to flourish. They're still in the basket of deplorables and aren't going anywhere. The small-town lifestyle is not sustainable, and only works when it's being subsidized by the cities. Most of these dying towns don't have any real industry left anyway, so it's time for the people there to pack up and leave. This idea that people in cities need to subsidize little meth infested burgs filled with uneducated disability recipients is bogus.

Really seems like you're anti-poor and also have very little understanding about rural life. Also, where do you think food comes from? Rooftop gardens in city centers?

Also also, lol at the idea that poor rural Americans could afford to move to the city even if they wanted to.
