What was the first Theory you read?
Was Affleck a fundamentally wrong choice for Batman or was it just the material and direction he was given? I always thought he was a solid actor but his performances as Batman are pretty mediocre
material/direction absolutely. There is a reason why he bailed.
He's better in the Snyder cut. He should have signed on to do a Batman movie first.
He was great as Batman. I’m a comic nerd but him as a dark, gritty Batman was a great choice. But clearly studio decisions and Hollywood shit fucked it all up and he clearly burnt himself out trying to deal with it.
He just doesn’t fit probably, but material didn’t help. he was fine in justice league tbh, as older battyboy. I think taking american psycho bale was extremely inspired choice previously, but still batman was meh in nolan thingy
i actually liked him as batman, mostly because i thought he was a great bruce wayne. i definitely think it was the material though. the ultimate test would've been the solo film, sucks we never got it
The material was also poor for the Daredevil movie but I liked him as Daredevil and I felt like it was a similar nothing for Batman
