if Joe Biden was just an ordinary old man without much power, that sort of response would probably be endearing. But as a political leader, this is just the baseline of what should be expected from them. (Not that many politicians can even hit this level)
I mean it's a positive thing to say, that's for sure. Not really sure you have to write a fawning article about how Biden is the greatest LGBT ally by epically pwning an alt-lighter (which is a term rarely ever used after Charlottesville).
Anyways yes it's just such an old man thing to say.
