Lately I've been using Moonreader with google's tts engine to listen to ebooks while shopping and doing chores. The engine you get with android is good enough but it got me thinking, maybe I'm missing out on better ones that I could pirate?

I use that site too, but not every e-book I get from libgen has an audiobook and there's a certain flexibility in being able to read and listen to the same book seamlessly from the same app.

If you want solid TTS you want wavenet. It's available on google cloud with 1 million characters a month for free. After that it is $16.50 per million characters but I think you get a free $300 credit with signup still.

    Here is a demo: https://cloud.google.com/text-to-speech/#section-2
