Mao's "Oppose Book Worship" is a good take in that it encourages people to actually engage with and understand theory rather than just appealing to it as an absolute authority, but I don't know what the fuck this is trying to say.

Mao’s “Oppose Book Worship” is a good take

frantically stuffs Little Red Book into back of pants, shame-faced

I don’t know what the fuck this is trying to say

I think it's akin to the old Gandhi line about liking Christ but hating the Christians. Although, it carries the ring of "No True Marxist" so heavily that it's basically gibberish.

This is the same mind that invented such takes as; Brace Belden is actually an imperialist CIA tool because he volunteered for the YPG.

Not that unusual of a statement. Marxist Leninists, Maoists, and the like sometimes use it for socdems, and leftcoms use it for all leftists, that aren't just "communist" and are petty bourgeois.

There's only 1 appropriate response to this

    "Go outside you fucking weirdo"

It's the equivalent of taking a leftist lexicon and chucking it into an industrial grade blender.

i can't stand that format of tweet. it's just basically like "im going to make up a guy and get mad at them." it also was wrote in a way to make it seem like a more sophisticated take than it actually is. also can't stand that

it’s just basically like “im going to make up a guy and get mad at them.”

I was yelling at an account with Marxist flair on Twitter and then some other account with Marxist flair agreed with them, so now I'm going to assume a multi-century long conspiracy of fake-Marxist plants who exist entirely to trick people into thinking I'm wrong. In truth, I'm simply anti-dogmatic, which proves how much smarter than the rest of you fucking dweebs I am.

haha this has happened a lot. i had someone with the hammer and sickle tell me mayo's pete's mileage tax was good actually and just refused to acknowledge the impact something like that would have on the working class and rural communities who are likely already struggling just last week. it was absurd

There are some serious Econo-Nerd arguments that boil down to "mileage taxes make more accounting sense than gas taxes". And if you're living in a world where you just get to play Sim City plus lots of Excel spreadsheets, it can work. But Mayo Pete isn't King of Everything, he's just the poor sap who got handed one of the shittiest jobs in Washington.

This is a dumb take. I would know, because I am the one true leftist.

Weird post, but i think it overall leans towards Maoist/ML aware of leftcoms but critiquing them.
