Unfortunately significant portion of my friends seem to think that saying racist, sexist, fascist things and laughing is funny and quantifies as a joke. Basically how do you get shithead white suburb kids to care about struggles of people and not play that off as a joke?
My thing is always sigh loudly and look down. It makes them feel stupid, and makes anyone laughing feel stupid too.
If they have a good bone in their body, the sigh creeps into their dreams, no matter how much they try to hide it.
Would put a caveat on this; sometimes that sigh and looking down is the desired reaction.
I think that goes back to "if they have a good bone in their body."
