  • The things that come to my mind are

-The country has a set goal to improve in tech industry, aiming to rival big countries like China.

-The people definetly know their spices. While they use it a bit too much at times, it certainly works well.

-The country is overpopulated, leading to talented people having harder time to succeed.

-If you're watching an Indian man's tutorial on any topic, you can assume it'll work well.

-It has a noticable split in religious beliefs.

-fuck the remote scammers operating from Kolkata. The people in India also hate these people.

  • Depends on how hard your country cracks down on individual piracy. If you've heard a friend of yours in the same country being served a copyright notice for pirating; you absolutely need a VPN. If you've never heard of this and the idea sounds impossible, you typically won't need it.

If you will need a VPN; I would heavily recommend Proton VPN for convenience. If you want to selfhost you're going to need a server in a different country which will still cost you money. Assuming you'll pay for a typical sbc + gigabit internet + electricity costs + remote maintenance costs and you'll be looking at a way bigger cost than just 60 euros a year. That's how much ProtonVPN costs.

  • App developers are responsible for the content the emulators can include (which are called mini-apps)

So let's say I am Square Enix. I own the rights to Chrono Trigger. I can release an emulator with Chrono Trigger SNES ROM and can sell it as Chrono Trigger. I cannot have said emulator allowed to run Super Mario World, as that would get my program delisted from App Store.

This is not limited to just emulators though. We can classify the games in roblox as mini apps; so let's say if Roblox doesn't remove a game that clearly infringes copyright; they too will get removed from App Store. (Which is one of the many reasons why they try to remove the games that contain these content)
