IMO it's Supergiants best game, and was hugely overlooked.

It's one part interactive novel, one part simplistic (yet fun) fantasy sports game, and has a very left story which is nice.

Also the soundtrack is incredible.

I loved it, highly reccomend.

My tinfoil hat theory is they release their games with easily fixable controller issues specifically to dissuade the people who understand how to torrent an exe and run it, but not how to resolve any tech issues otherwise.

There are two ways to resolve the ER controller error. The first being unplug any USB inputs that ARE NOT your controller while the game boots and once you've determined your controller is working, plug them back in. The slightly more technical way is to update your version of the game to the latest patch, which can (kind of) suck if you don't know what you're doing because you don't have steam to do it for you.

I downloaded the fitgirl repack, the patches and instructions for that version can be found here. It's the first "Featured Comment" I'm not sure if this will work with any other pirated copy.

I pirated this game and at first I regretted it because I was worried about missing out on the MP stuff.

The more I read about the unoriginal and unfunny joke spam, the broken pvp, and unhelpful messages the more I'm certain I made the correct choice.
