Those distros are basically focused on offering a console like experience on Linux, as in, a machine that is hooked to a TV, has no keyboard or mouse and only method of input is a gaming controller. They all start directly into Steam Big Picture mode, and there's a single system user, all users are Steam Users. This works, but has the issues with save files I'm trying to get a solution that hopefully doesn't involve changing to a traditional distro
Afaik it isn't an option in SteamOS/HoloISO/ChimeraOS and would require a more "traditional" distro to be used, which does fixes those issues, but now we have other issues, like how those distros aren't made to be used as consoles, and there's the issue with Steam Family Sharing (as I understand, you need to be logged with the Steam Account in each system user you wish to share the library with)
I don't really understand that argument, and I want someone to correct me:
If you were keeping your battery at the ideal charge (i.e. 20% to 80%) that means you are really only using 60% of your battery during its lifetime. I've been using my phone since July of 2021, always changing it to 100%, preferably only charging when it gets close to 0%. Using AccuBattery I get the battery stats and after 2 years and a half, the battery capacity is at 85%.
I still have 85% of usable battery, this is more than the 60% I'd get if I was using the battery ideally. So I don't really get this argument about taking care of the battery cause it appears it would take a while before the battery is degraded enough to hold less charge than the recommended rate.

I was gonna say that PayPal is a bad payment method cause it doesn't take into account the intricacies of local payment methods despite being used as an sort of international method to transfer money (The play store is a fantastic payment method for instance, almost makes me wish for Google to take on PayPal). Credit Cards are also bad cause you need an international one and it isn't always easy to get it.
It's more of a frustration thing rather than guilty, mostly because it is possible, but not convenient. KDE isn't the only thing I'd like to donate to, but it also uses PayPal
Yes, except none of those are the most convenient payment method for online purchases in my country, even credit card requires an international one IIRC, furthermore, it is a pain to figure out a proper amount cause it uses Euro. The minimum € 3,00 isn't a huge amount converted to my local currency, but it isn't a small amount either.
So you end up with something that is too much of a hasle even if you had the cash and wanted to donate. Cause you can't stop thinking along the lines of "even if I wanted to deal with all of this the amount I'm giving isn't going to change that much"

That said, one point in defense of the minimal height is the miniplayer. As media apps, YouTube, YT Music, and YT TV have to display playback controls just above the persistent navigation element. A tall bottom bar with another row of buttons above it would just cut into the viewing space for content.
Heavily disagree with that, the mini play is dangerously close to the system gestures, and sometimes I triggered the system gestures by mistake before the current redesign. It is still too close for my liking.
Edit: a thing that I hate about YouTube design is that it is really close to Material Design 3, but it sorta of misses most of the things that make M3 look coherent, so it just looks bad, like a knockoff M3 from someone that had to implement Material Design through a verbal description rather than looking at it
I'm mostly using Flatpaks on Tumbleweed, I only use the package manager if I can't find a Flatpak version. Reason for that is that with Flatpak I can precisely know what I manually installed, as Tumbleweed lacks a proper easy way of getting a list of user installed packages
Not going to lie, I hate the middle click clipboard and disable it ASAP. I really dislike the idea that it copies things without my explicit permission.

O serviço do iFood é fundamentalmente diferente do serviço do Uber. Você não vai no iFood e pede comida como um conceito abstrato, o app tem indicações e propagandas, mas fundamentalmente o usuário procura um produto específico.
Mesmo que existam ocasiões do tipo, ao abrir o iFood você está querendo um tipo de comida específica(ou uma categoria), e geralmente de um restaurante específico. Por padrão, é esperado que você tenha um certo nível de entendimento e até preferência, sobre o tipo de "serviço" e quem está executando ele. Como eu disse, você não abre o iFood, seleciona "comida" e pega a mais barata, e aceita se vier sushi, hambúrguer ou pamonha.
O iFood fundamentalmente serve para ligar restaurantes diferentes que possuem cardápios e qualidades diferentes, onde o usuário é esperado que tenha preferência própria. O Uber não.
Mesmo se o Uber deixasse que o motorista escolhesse o preço a ser cobrado, a experiência do usuário é que ele quer um serviço, e não importa quem o execute. Você tem algum controle sobre o tipo de serviço em termos bem grandes, mas não exatamente sobre a qualidade, ou preferência de quem o executa. Se o Uber largasse a responsabilidade dos preços aos motoristas, tudo o que isso iria realmente criar seria competição entre os motoristas pelos consumidores através de preços mais baratos.
Seria incrivelmente bizarro se você usasse o Uber para pedir especialmente o serviço do seu Zé, pra ele vir de buscar de Pálio vermelho. Enquanto que ! não é tão bizarro usar iFood pra pedir uma pizza da pizzaria X (embora seja melhor pro restaurante que você peça direto deles)
