Of course they can interact with it just fine, look at "sponsorblock" plug-in. It would also solve this problem completely. It already exists and works well, it just isn't "AI" nonsense.
Pretty sure that article was written by a bot or very badly copy-pasted. The first two sentences essentially contain the same information twice, just basic stats. I lost interest immediately.
I'm still using my pebble. Works mostly fine still.
Much simpler and more direct than the other suggestions: LocalSend.
Also fully open source, local only, cross platform. Only works in the same network, obviously. That's the point.

I get that it's a kind of unique case, but GTA V is over l well over 10 years old now. Surpassing it should be the expectation for a major game vaguely in the same genre, not something news worthy. What a stalrange strange state were in I guess.
For anyone else confused by this, it's only meant mostly for the US. The plug isn't exactly suited for countries that use 3 phase power, like most of the world.

Do I understand you correctly that Floris had swipe typing? Cause I tried the OpenBoard fork that has it, and it was horrible. It technically worked, sometimes, but most often was even slower than hitting individual letters. Usually I have to correct maybe 1 word out of 20 or so with GBoard, and even then what I want is one of the suggestions 95% of the time. with the OpenBoard fork, 3 out of 5 words were wrong and the correct one was suggested like 2 out of 5 times.
If its swipe is usable, I might give Floris a go...
edit: ah, English only. Not gonna work for me. I also prefer to have multiple languages active and being able to swipe in any/all of them. guess I'm stuck with GBoard...

Movies generally have a much longer production time than a year. So the script was most certainly finished before ST III was released in cinemas. So BTTF writers would only have knowledge of ST III if they also wrote it, and even then it's highly unlikely that at the time of writing BTTF it would've been public knowledge (or even a made decision) Lloyd would be in ST. Getting most certainly wouldn't have even started for BTTF.

Also in terms of hosting in Switzerland, keep in mind that it's not actually part of the EU, which is the primary/original source for many of the privacy laws you probably care about if you're looking into these providers.
