I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if where I live people simply don't use it, but meetup.com to me only shows events and groups by "expats" and "digital nomads".
The community the post was posted to (!meanwhileongrad@sh.itjust.works) was removed from lemmy.ml because it violated lemmy.ml's rule on civility. That's why the post isn't visible from lemmy.ml
I also have computer with similar specs, just with an SSD and without a graphics card (ie. only integrated graphics) and with a slightly less powerful processor. And it runs perfectly fine for me and I always considered it to be "medium-end". You can't play any of the modern AAA games, but for most other tasks it gets the job done without any problem.

I think the western news also claim that the bags included excrement.

On the bright side, if you burn such a flag you catch two birds with one stone.
This non-linear way of storytelling kind of reminds me a bit of Ben Robbins' Microscope. We begin with a blank slate but we progressively fill in details, going wherever we want to shift our focus next.

I thought raw milk simply has an extremely low shelf life and that that was the main purpose of pasteurization. Why did people drink milk before the discovery of pasteurization if it is so dangerous?
What's happening to its leg?
EDIT: Nevermind, seems the head's shadow made it look like the front left leg was missing its shoulder with the leg growing out from the middle or from the back.
I once lived with a sort of science skepticistdenier (didn't believe in the moonlanding nor did he believe that the earth wasn't flat). He was of the belief that scientists are deceiving the public and one of the examples he gave was that they claim that the earth rotates at 1 670 km/h but if we look outside that's very clearly not the case and if jump we aren't flung at that speed to the side. I spent half an hour in a back and forth trying to explain the concept of relative velocity and inertia. It didn't go anywhere.
Edit: changed to denier based on the comment by logos.
I wonder if anyone has been backing up those meetings. Would love to have a look at them.
What does the process of creating your comics look like? Do you begin by drawing or with the words? Since you have a universe where this takes place and that the images must generally be recognizable as something (ie. it can't just be an amorphous pile of pixels), I reckon that your mind isn't entirely free? Or do you begin writing/drawing without the initial intent of posting it on this community, and if the image takes on a shape and reveals something out of Analog Nowhere do you post it on here? Or do you pull the core idea or picture of the comic out of your mind onto the screen, where you fill out the blanks so as to make it real?
That was unexpectedly quick. I thought we'd be waiting years before we could even begin talking about any kind of measures that could be taken in response to the crimes (assuming that it wouldn't be dismissed on the way).
I mean, you don't have to pay for the software, so it's not like you are benefiting them by using it.
