Commodore 64. I had no idea wtf this thing was that my grandparents bought. They got a few cartridges and the 5.25 floppy drive. I put a cartridge in and a game came up. I was hooked. I slowly learned basic and how to use the floppy drive. A few years later, we got a Macintosh Performa 450. That was the first "real" computer I got to learn on. I quickly realized Mac wasn't for me and the next one was a Packard Bell with a 150mhz processor. From there I built my own and never looked back.

The first time I ever experienced something was when I was 5 or 6. I was playing on the floor of my bedroom with my door closed. All of a sudden I felt a sensation like putting your hand on an old crt monitor or tube TV, but all over my body. Then I heard my door knob rattle, I looked up to see it turn and the door open, but no one was there. I even got up to look and everyone was on the otherside of the house.
Unless I'm doing yard work or similar, I will shower every other day, sometimes 2 days. My skin gets unbearably dry and itchy if I shower more often.
My wife is on an Aireloom. She asked for the hardest mattress in the store (probably 100 models) and the sales guy really tried to talk her out of it because it's THAT hard. She could sleep on bare concrete and that mattress has been a godsend to her.
To me, it's not about taking their salaries and spreading them out to employees. I think the root problem comes down to employees busting ass to make X amount of money while execs sit around in meetings and make millions. It's not how much they get paid, it's how much MORE they get paid.

They are literally already doing this. A couple weeks back at Costco, the self checkout lanes had an employee at every one of them checking your ID against your member card. They then would scan your stuff. They still had someone at the exit checking your receipt.
The labor spend on preventing you from sharing your member card and then STILL verifying your receipt against their own employees seems like a massive waste.
