  • I have seen people blasting cigarettes in china and drinking alcohol in china some of the most addiction substances we have normalized despite being worse then other elicit substances, also pretty western if you ask me, if china was better then the west they would be treating be treating drug users different on the social system That means medical personal not police. The opium wars are over and their people have begun the long process to generational recovery. This being said they still lock people up for drug offenses like the united states they monitor their
bank accounts and have the entire process handled by the police but called a medical problem, they can get in some provinces cut off from medicaid and basically Chinese social security. Just read the whole thing.

The right to health is also enshrined in the obligations under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.[68] As a party to the treaty, China should ensure the availability, accessibility, acceptability, and quality of health services, as well as ensure that services are provided in a nondiscriminatory manner, especially for marginalized groups.[69]

While the 2008 Anti-Drug Law is progressive in that it recognizes individuals who use drugs as patients and calls for treatment, in practice China’s drug treatment system operates as a system of monitoring and punishment.[70] It does not operationally acknowledge drug use as a public health issue that requires evidence-based, community supported long-term treatment. In the current treatment regime, detection of a relapse leads to harsher restrictions on personal rights and freedoms, without meaningfully addressing the right to health.[71] China suffers from a severe lack of specialized drug treatment resources and a reliance on ineffective detoxification approaches dominated by restrictions on personal freedom.[72]

China’s punitive approach to drug dependency treatment also affects the ability of individuals who use drugs to address other health problems. For example, many of China’s current national and local laws and regulations exclude persons who use drugs from occupational injury insurance and medical insurance.[73] Moreover, some local governments, such as in the cities of Nanping, Lanzhou, Urumqi, and Liuzhou, have enacted legislation that excludes medical expenses incurred as a result of drug use from the scope of urban and rural medical assistance.[74] These exclusions raise serious concerns about violations of the obligation to provide nondiscriminatory health services.

Not everything liberals say is cold-war propagand, a lot of it is but we need to be sober minded about these sort of things socialist projects get held to the highest degree of scrutiny The HHR Journal is published out of brown university. The Ruthless Critique of Everything Existing https://www.hhrjournal.org/2022/06/no-exit-chinas-state-surveillance-over-people-who-use-drugs/

  • People should have the ability to consume drugs with freedom to get medical care if they develop a problem and they want to end dependency. Country's that treat medical problems as criminal problems are reactionary in character. quality drugs should in a future socialist society be provided by trained pharmacists with support networks for addicts to get help if they want it, not needlessly restricted by alienated social forces that seeks to tell workers whats in their best interest they can decide if they want to take drugs if they feel as they are informed enough to do so

  • This is the part where I hope young people say we are gonna form local connections where we hang out a provide for each other & the local community and make it an essential group of leftist that help each other out and hang out every week end, with the hope it snow balls into something great right? Riiight we aren't just gonna sit at home on discord and hope sending leftist memes to friends without doing the work of hanging out consistently with people and being integral to a community. Right? We aren't gonna do that right? We are going to form local social clubs like we use to do right because most people will change their minds to stay in the social club on politics because It directly benefits them.

We definitely won't read this post and continue to doom scroll insert bad website and be isolated atomized alienated workers who could be hanging out. Notice below the word branch and think about what that means

  • Problem uk is not econmicly important and also in this era capitalists can just op out of countries especially when they become too difficult to deal with, also the fact you have to ask for a back door makes the point of the backdoor more pointless just try to do it secretly like the pros do it in the usa. This probly cause a gang terf war with the nsa and cia vs mi6

  • This bill is unenforceable, I don't know how its not gonna back fire they literally will just what send tickets to the parent for the kids using their phone even thats a stretch, they just seem mad they cant control the internet and popular option so we are gonna pass a bill to make our selves feel better. Better ways to waste time. If they were serious they would have to ban kids from using the internet or having phones

Just think about this, I joe Brandon declare. its illegal for Jonny and Sue to use a phone to search for easily searchable things, but if search for things I don't like its a crime. Anyone else see how unenforceable this garbage is? Or am I too out of touch with tech.

  • I believe this is geting put on the list due to workers not being as fungible in the past, I live in a western state that takes heat very seriously, immigration is down across the board, boarders are very closed. We do have significant inelastic labor supply for the foreseeable future. I think sections of are copetlists realize you shouldn't let man child bougeious mulch perfectly good workers because they can't be fucked to install a ac in the wearhouse. Thats my angle at least for now.

In bougeious circles their is a lot of talk about increasing productivity, we might see a lot of measures in the near future that increase employee health to get more productivity, things like 7/7 scheduling, they did this in the 1970s but didn't go that far unlike Japan and Nordic counties the idea is happy people are more productive which is empirical, problem is the 80s they opened the boarders and flooded the lowest end of the working class so they could turn people more disposable.

Im not sold that the American ruling class will be nice even if they have every incentive. Time and time again they prove them selves to choose hate and loathing, even when it marginal more profit to be nice to workers.

They hate us cause they ain't us, they are embarrassed that they don't have to gumption to not vote for spineless almost invertebrate liberals.

Real answer is they don't listen, when we tell them why they arent entitled to our votes and then complain we aren't helping team "left" when they move to the right and make more people clock out mentally and lose on broadly unpopular legislation.

  • Most of the stats say the income disparity is just the cost of a house with price asset inflation, I think if we just gave people houses a lot of the income gap disappears, but not to even mention the generational trauma that will take 3-5 generations to work out under socialist living standards. I guess stress and trauma, make your DNA activate in ways I dint pretend to understand and it makes diseases mentally and physically more common.

  • These conservatives don't understand the party is about to move to the center because the real secret ceaser (US Military) in American society doesn't appreciate the way these clowns are getting everyone riled up, if your ever wondering how the deep state thinks you should read their think tanks.

Opportunism of any stripe apply to everyone not just leftists, the right has been copying our mistakes and is attempting to use Desantis as a bernie/warren cannadiate, Guess what mother fucker you still have to form local consent for the laws you jam through in Jerry meandered states.

I think in the long run this opportunism will be punished on the right. I think next election will determine how bad the overreach is.

  • I mean it's currently being aimed to remove the labor aristocracy in the states, like these llms are being developed to increase productivity of the highest ends of the working class like engineers, coders, lawyers, I think in big C captalists utopian dream is the universal machine that can do anything.

I don't think they are gonna get that but it's their version of the promised land, communism, heaven, the other side, transdence.

My guess is they will use it to unemploy a bunch of upper middle class people and and then use it to kill climate refugees at the boarder, if I had to guess what is plasuable, the real hard questions on how far it will be allowed to go will be dependent on climate change, the left in the states geting its shit together, what happens with the engineer types will they suck up or see them selves with the working class.

I think a lot of this stuff is dependent on the left in general in imperial core countrys geing it together and at this moment it's very hard to feel optimistic about since the working class is divided along sectional lines, racial lines, country vs city.

Left is still recovering from the last bout of tailism with Bernie, now some are tailing the repubs with maga communism, we have people thinking China will save us in some capacity, as a really old leftist it has never been this bleak but at the same time it feels like the 1980's, left has been nercomancyed from the pits of hell. In my more dire moments of reflection.

I feel like not only did we fail the future generations of the left but that it was our folly, ignorance that was responsible for the current state of things, I guess posting here in this forum is a sort of cleansing ritual of the guilt of my soul before the husk of the dead obelisk we call the American left.

  • These people are victims of their own propaganda, the only reason they call llms ai is to:

    1. Hedge agnist where regulations will focus as llms get developed, just another way to avoid paying people.

    2. It's pr to generate hype and it sort of works because they are victims of their own captlist news cycle which is kinda funny. It's like coming up with brando its what plants crave and then believing it your self.

  • I see what your saying, but I think this is kinda of a vulger position, which normaly im all I about it, I want the left to inclusive of people of left and right leftist opositions, I think one of the biggest issues within the 20th century left was shuffling of all would be left intellectuals into the university system, I think this damaged the movment( at least as I experienced it in the 70's-80's ) we need working class Intelligencia to be healthy and connected to the working class more directly, id even say the anti intellectualism we see now in people like vash is a result of this era of very radical but disconnected by extention of university carteling of knowledge from the working class in general.

I guess to support your point I think we should make being left more then seeing your lot with the working class but also even leftist in academic situations do need to be looked at with skepticism as they are insulated from harsh working conditions and the worst wages that working people suffer, they are more so insulated from econmic down turns more then other workers. I guess what I'm saying is we gotta be more picky about what workers get elevated as leaders but also we need more organic Intelligencia who can speak to divisions of labor better. Like how many though leader Marxists are not heavily credentialed university labor. You feel me? I'm not saying all collage educated is bad we need them but we need more then just their perspective like we need other segments of the labors to handle rural workers vs city ect
