Bottles. It's the best click and play experience imo. Select the gaming preset and use wine-ge or proton-ge as the runner (default is soda which is not really good) and you are good to go.
Sometimes the installers don't work correctly on proton-get so use system installed wine and you are good to go.
That truly is a shitshow
I don't get the ai hate sentiment. In fact I want ai to be so good that it steals all our jobs. Every single "worker" on the planet. The only job I don't think they can steal is that of middle management because I don't think we have digitized data on how to suck your own dick. After everybody is jobless, then we would be free. We won't need the rich. They can be made into a fine broth.
Sarcasm aside, I really believe we should automate all menial jobs, crunch more data and make this world a better place, not steal creative content made by humans and make second rate copies.
There is a to_owned() thingy I use that for path buf shenanigans. Basically the value you create is a pointer reference short of. To_owned allocates it on memory.
In general, I think genuinely that Linux requires a more hands on approach. But the best thing is, I solve a problem ONCE. Then I store the script to git and forget about it. The problem is done, it no longer exists.
Yes. Look at how many calories professional chess players are burning by just sitting and playing chess. You will be shocked.
My laptop came with win11 preinstalled... I used it like that for about 4 months. I can very confidently say installing Linux increased the battery duration of my laptop by about 20%.
I would have allowed myself to get rabies and then hunt all of these fucktards and go bite them. Stupid fucking removed leeches dressed as humans.
An6 form if room temp super conductor would be awesome. Like electronics will stop emitting heat and in case of ICs and microprocessors, difficulty to work with won't he an issue as you fab them.
Also school level science experiments will get more exciting
I did it. Install v0.1.10 and give it a go.
I honest to god find Linux easier to use. Though it's maybe because the most used programs on my laptop are neovim, gcc and rust compiler and Firefox . And I shit you not, Microsoft purposefully slowed down the Firefox browser I installed from their store.
Plus I like using a tiling window manager when coding, now in Linux I have 500 options. On windows I get a middle finger and a dedicated nsa/fbi agent. Whats not to hate?
It should be fairly simple to do... But I don't have multiple monitors to test it. I am taking the day off for today, need to recharge, then I will patch that it.
Well there is a simple answer to it. I didn't know about it.
The project looks quite cool though.
That's the beauty of FOSS. You can do whatever the hell you want to your system. Fuck up the kernel if you so wish.
PS, I looked into the wiki and it is really cool, especially since it uses a proper language. I will try it some day but for now... I am totally burntout setting up eww. Maybe on my next rice I will give it a go.
You are giving a bad name to nerds by comparing them to this absolute fuckwad
Just create multiple windows with different monitor ids and pass the literal to both. That should do it.
After booting in, switch to a tty, then start the de from there, so like I use plasma so I execute plasma-wayland. Check if that works, if so, then the problem lies with the login manager (sddm or gdm). If not post the error log and I will check if I can understand what's wrong.
