I'm trans myself and am very sympathetic to the feelings of our trans community. It leaves a horrible taste in my mouth that this entire situation played out the way it did. I don't have beef with the majority of people involved with this but it's very exausting to be accused of being a transphobe and all the rest of it for weeks. To have this be relitigated practically every day by people who don't even know or care what happened that resulted in a couple people being banned that happened to be trans is annoying to say the least. I've told my side of the story to people a few times and they didn't give a fuck about what I had to say.
