  • There's still people on the Steam Forums and Reddit trying to rally people to get the Arrowhead Community Managers (at least one of which is Transgender) fired.

This is such a stupid "protest" largely driven by Chud G*mers who couldn't read the fine text of a game they bought, and now are trying to turn an inconvenient account requirement into GamerGate 2.0.

The sooner anything about this 'ironic' Fascist video game gets off my social media the better.

The zionist entity is not a Jewish colonial project, but an Anglo colonial project.

Isn't this flat out false? My understanding of Zionism is based on the ideas of Theodore Herzl; that Israel was always meant to be a national, secular homeland for Jewish people. Fyi, this is the guy who is regarded as the 'Father of Zionism' by every Israeli leader ever and who organized the world's first Zionist Congress. Yes Herzl, as a Jew living in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, was inspired by and wanted to employ Anglo/ European colonial methods to achieve this goal (Badempanada did a wonderful video on this btw), but to claim that Zionism was created solely by the British and was never spearheaded by Ashkenazi Jews trying to escape persecution in Europe is ignoring the historical materialist basis of Zionism and frankly strips Jewish people of having any agency over their actions or fate.

P.S: I am not trying to say Jewish people collectively support Zionism, there were/ are many Jews in the past and today who oppose Zionism on the basis of being anti-colonialist, anti-nationalist, or on a religious basis. However, I felt OP was portraying Zionism as something completely separate from the Jewish identity and history, and instead as something invented by Western Empires to divide and conquer the Middle East using guilt over historical anti-semitism as a justification, which is flat out false.

It's a pretty contentious concept among the left. The fact that leftists in this post are arguing about it and will probably argue with my interpretation is proof of that.

Market Socialism (at least from my understanding as a Marxist) is a branch off or revision of Orthodox Marxism that has been historically practiced by Marxist leaders/ states; Tito's Yugoslavia is the best case example but arguably China, Vietnam and Cuba all do as well today. Some Marxists even think Lenin briefly did it with the NEP.

That being said, a lot of Marxists are very much opposed to the idea of 'markets' ever being compatible with Socialism, and any attempt to introduce markets into a Socialist system is an attempt at introducing bourgeois elements or straight up Capitalism back into society. And this is not entirely false. Yugoslavia eventually collapsed, not just because of Western pressure but also due to contradictions in their own system, and China and Vietnam do have pretty rich Capitalists that severely exploit their workers.

Anarchists are entirely opposed to it as far as I know (any Anarchists here can elaborate if needed).

FriendlyJordies isn't even a Socialist (he's just a SocDem who lives in a wealthy Sydney suburb) and our Bourgeois government can't even tolerate criticism from someone like him. Really speaks to how right Australia has drifted over the last decade alone.
