  • yet again, this exhibits the innate dissonances of the amerikkkan system of governance. on the one hand, here, mostly due to things like budget constraints and overcrowding rather than an interest in silly trifling matters such as human rights, we see the prison system acknowledge that the point is deprivation of freedom: anything beyond this is by definition an additional cruelty beyond imprisonment. but on the other hand, we have exceedingly long prison terms, and overcrowded prisons, etc. under the auspices of a synthetic desire for retribution/clearing "inherently dangerous" criminals from public contact for "security" reasons. there is nothing rehabilitative about either recourse (part-time prison or full-time prison) but the cruelty is a key component in keeping the mask on I think. as always, the dissonance is smoothed over with extreme and indiscriminate violence.

welcome back TC69. my "shut the fuck up" and post thoughtfully strategy continues to pay dividends, as this will be my only comment on whatever the fuck this struggle session has become. love the "gojo losing it" avatar, it feels very appropriate for the moment. good luck and godspeed o7

  • canned tomatoes are canned at ripeness, so in general, a canned tomato from the supermarket would be better than the fresh one for most of the year. that said, not all cans of tomato are created equal. you will likely find better results if you get whole peeled canned tomatoes instead of canned diced, depending on application.

  • might i add, the one part of the 2016 campaign that wasn't replicated was the identity politics focus. harris did not lose (primarily) due to her race or gender, in part because she didn't make the campaign about that. i think that part of the reason misogyny had such legs in the 2016 campaign was clinton's choice to make "elect a woman" a core argument. clinton, a clueless white woman, ate shit on identity politics because she hadn't considered the possibility that outside of her own circles that wouldn't perform well. the harris campaign was executed worse, but at least seemed to understand that. anyone who tries to argue that harris lost on those grounds should take a good hard look at what actually happened.
