We are such a confused and twisted society, we get a pathetic storming of the government in favor of billionaires who never worked a day in their life

Its really just sad seeing reactionaries storming the Capitol... its like they are almost there in seeing the problems but then just jump to support their corrupt leader. It just sucks that the 'radical' Left and Right can't figure out how to join forced and actually change this corrupt government. Like we actually do need people taking the building back. Normally I'd agree, but its likely Trump has done treasonous things we are not even aware of yet that may have to be prosecuted once discovered. At the end of the day though, you are right that he will do whatever he feels like in his position of absurd immunity and power

My question is if he faces certain prosecution after leaving office for crimes we may not even know of yet, failing a military coup attempt would just give him the same punishment, except he has a chance to succeed by doing so and really has nothing to lose by trying... I'm not worried, but thats my gut feeling of what seems to be happening considering he's a textbook narcissist trying to survive, and honestly I wouldn't even mind if he tries it and takes down the system in the process, although it would be horrible for all of us it at least allows small hope for a better future of which now we have none

I think Trump is an idiot criminal with a survival instinct who just happens to have a huge alt right following at his disposal, so maybe he'll feel like using them while he has the power and immunity that he doesn't want to give up, at this point why wouldn't he just go for it?

The problem is we are so ruled by money, and we are all so incredibly desperate and without any other means of hope for supporting and providing for ourselves and each other that we can all be bought out for cheap even by a proto-authoritarian fascist. All of this is making me that much closer to dropping out again and finding cooperatives in the woods somewhere self-sufficiently and actually living for awhile before this society reaches its nearing final despicable form.

I think the idea is not to actually win those states, but get the supreme court to invalidate the vote completely, and then apparently it could go to some strange state elector system. I don't understand it either, system is so convoluted, but if there's a loophole to won they will gladly use it, especially having the handpicked supreme court

Apparently the strategy is to have the supreme court declare the results invalid due to "fraud" and then electoral college cant be called and states will vote, which will give Trump the win. Not sure of logistics if it's possible, but seems they are trying
