Can you really call yourself queer if you haven't even read all 37 of the 36 sermons of Vivek and pretended to understand them to impress some ashlander at a Telvanni mushroom rave?

  • For the purposes of HRT, regardless of application, there are two main estrogens to consider; Estrone (E1) and Estradiol (E2).

Estrone is a weak estrogen in the body it is derived from cholesterol. However, in its most common form of medication, Premarin, it is derived from the urine of pregnant mares. As a weak estrogen that is also not bioidentical (Premarin's chemical structure differs from organic estrone) , it is not as effective as Estradiol in the role of HRT.

Estradiol is the major female sex hormone and as such in it's synthesised ester forms such as Estradiol Valerate it is often considered the most effective form of HRT. It can be derived from diosgenin found in yams, or stigmaserol usually from soybean oil and probably some other plant precursors Im not aware of. It should be noted that most sex hormones can be derived from these methods, stigmaserol for example converts to estrone before it is chemically altered to estradiol.

  • I've been on a binge of 90s games this year and its really impressive how well they still hold up, Half Life 1, Deus Ex, Morrow wind (I think it says alot that Morrowind still has a thriving mod community and a completely rewritten open source version), Just last week I found out they made talkie mods for the first two Monkey Islands, so I'm playing through those too. It's crazy that my 2023 GOTY was the System Shock remake. Point and clicks really are the pinnacle of game design tbh, all the games that have stuck with me over the last through years from Norco to Disco Elysium are essentially just point and clicks.

  • Almost all the modern versions of pre 2000s discworld books are insulting to Josh Kirby, usually cropping out most of his amazing artwork. Its why I wish I had completed my collection of the Mass Print Editions when they were easier to find. Even though they're all falling to bits and yellowed They display the artwork so well. My reccomendation to most big discworld fans would be to get your hands on Josh Kirby's, Discworld Portfolio (a hard find these days, and outrageously priced by those who are selling it) and Paul Kidby's Imaginarium, between these two books you will find all the discworld illustrations a fan could want, including many which are not shown elsewhere, then for the actual books pick up the excellently designed (if somewhat flimsy) collectors editions they have now released with their fantasic lino cut covers and embossed designs. Also see Josh Kirby's In the Garden of Earthly delights for his other sci fi and fantasy illustrations (of which there are many, he was quite prolofic!) including one he did for Ron L Hubbard when he was still a sci fi writer!
