It's not that bad 😆. But there's definitely a learning curve, something I'm working on figuring out myself, at the moment. There's some practice guides, but it's certainly a unique beast.

My climate is too hot for a hoodie to be useful for very long (unless it was maybe a zip-up I could use like a light jacket in my freezing office cubicle), but I'd totally buy a mug.

I love my electric kettle. I can get 5 cups of boiling water in about five minutes (less for less water).

And while a microwave is likely faster, it also heats the container. For a quick, single mug, it's not an issue. Run that thing for five to heat a lot of water, and the container itself could be scorching hot.

I prefer the kettle every time.

Yep. Most are via Epic, GOG, and Amazon Games, but I'd install an itch.io game, if there was one I wanted to play.

If you're trying to save money, instead of using it as a way to build reputation, I don't think it's that big of a deal to choose a cheaper option. And if you find that it becomes popular, you can maybe consider Steam later on.

TIL a new thing in computer science.

I have never regretted buying one. Took it on a long trip and didn't have to miss out on the games I usually play, plus I play a lot of games I don't normally bother with on my desktop.

Rinse as you go, especially for things you know will stick (cheese, eggs, sauces, etc.). You can still use the tool if needed, but it's a lot easier to clean later on if there's no dried food on it, and stuff rinses off really easily while still fresh (usually).

I can't manage to clean as I go either, but this has saved me a mountain of effort.

I switched back to Steam OS from Bazzite due to some QoL issues on the OLED Deck, and there's definitely some improvements between sound, battery life, and general performance.

Makes sense why they wouldn't want to upstream their work, since it gives them a market edge, but I wish they'd introduce some kind of persistent Overlay FS, so people can install non-flatpack software. Being able to layer packages in Bazzite and utilize things like Distrobox was so nice, and keeping these improvements to themselves means the user has effectively less options.

Excellent Metroidvania. I've only played Cave Story+, but the differences between the two are supposedly mostly minor, so I can definitely recommend this.

In the Religious Conservative's mind, free speech means they get to say whatever they want about whomever they want (I get to do what I want). At the same time, free speech limitations suddenly apply when you have anything critical to say about their religion (you have to do what I say).

I'll check this out later, but I've checked up on Redox from time to time, and they've been making steady progress. I sincerely hope they succeed, because I would love to see this competing with the likes of Linux, instead of other novelties like RISC OS.
