Why'd she ever get let back in in the first place? As a user I don't have a problem, but why was she given effectively top control after literally not being a member of this community for years?
can we tempban every american for like 1400 days so they can all cool off?
I'm etc
They're an adult. They might need a break but it should be their decision and not the decision of some mod.
damn that ban reason is so patronising lmao
mods not beating the 'being shit' allegations
TC69 probably isn't who you want to be invoking on the issue of silly arbitrary changes by admins against the wishes of the userbase...
People enjoy making fun of people that you're not allowed to make fun of in c/gossip, clearly.
what we are merely doing is forbidding low-effort dunking on private people, which we think is toxic and boring
Then block the comm and pretend it doesn't exist. Why do you have to ruin other people's fun?
But also before the ban they were our first real "power-poster", and a mod, and allegedly a collective of people under one account, which possibly explains how they posted so much.
The big turning point was when they made fun of "We love our trans comrades" posting, during the TC69 ultraviolence era. They caught a ban and then went of the deep end a bit with wrecker-alts.
A powerful poster
An ancient poster from a bygone era.
reason: No goodbye posts
lmao
it should literally be illegal for a forum mod to call anyone else a 'nerd'
If you were banned (permabanned, we didn't have tempbans back then) you could make an alt and request an unban. Often they'd just be ignored but if the ban was controversial - if the user was a big name, or if the mod decision was particularly bizarre - the threads would just explode and the userbase would just argue about it.
We used to have a comm like that, and all it brought was drama lmao
there were suggestions of a c/selfcrit being thrown around then
Are we gonna start doing actual struggle session?
Admins have used burner accounts since the Beatnik doxxing. I assume they're a new admin, but not a new user.
Yeah, they're usually a voice of reason I feel, but this comment is just wildly patronising.
A-Tier drama, forgot about that
