Just three weeks ago, 4K UHD was giving DVD a run for its money. Now, it's back to less than 10% of the market share.
Some scientists at CERN didn't like the sad ending.
Not me, but for my older brother, my mom was considering the name Chad.
I wonder how that would have worked out, with the memes and all.
If there was ever a show that deserved the 4K UHD treatment...this is it.

Seems unlikely. Friends was shot on 35mm film, so it's simply a matter of scanning the film negatives at 4K.

Back in December I spent $550 on a refurbrished home theater projector. After actually thinking things through, I realized that in my current living situation, the whole idea isn't going to work. I went back to watching movies on my TV and sometimes even my monitor.
I still haven't taken the projector out of the plastic wrapping, and I've been contemplating re-selling it on eBay so I can at least get my money back...but I highly doubt that will happen.
I'm surprised that this has so many special features...

This isn't necessarily a good thing. 4K is growing at the expense of Blu-ray, while DVD is only getting more popular.
Last week, @Eheran@lemmy.world asked about the top selling DVDs. I tried looking, but unfortunately it doesn't seem like they report the numbers for DVDs. The closest I found was the Top Disc Sales, which is the combined sales of DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD. Perhaps that would be a better metric?
Ghibli dubs are usualy outstanding. I didn't get a chance to see it dubbed, though.
I heard Robert Pattinson completely transformed his voice to play the Grey Heron, he's completely unrecognozable.
