Well it sort of falls into that right wing/fascist irony poisoning tactic where they start by being 'edgy'and making jokes about "globalist" and minorities until it stops being jokes and they start believing it.
Its also just a means to pull back against backlash and say "why so serious? I was just joking"
Perhaps not in a way that couldn't get reversed by another president, but Biden is well known to be against weed. He's been doing that liberal dance of giving lip service to an issue people care about while not actually doing anything of substance.

I think it would be worse being a lib in a way, because from an ideological standpoint there's not a lot of tools liberalism gives people to understand or navigate their world. Its all just weird moral posturing devoid of context and historical understanding.
Libs may be outraged by something or see the injustice but none of what their leaders do will work in the long run. Its like being perpetually de-fanged and watching the country devolve into fascism without knowing how to stop it.

Not OP, dont think there's a way to completely uncondition yourself and become 100% "natural". We're at our core cultural and therefore socialized. To unravel that completely is to dehumanize yourself, if that makes sense.
I think the most we can hope for is to find the problematic preferences that are underpinned by sexism, racism, and different "body phobias" and try and move past them as best we can
