  • i was a r/chapotraphouse user back in the day before the reddit ban. I briefly went on the discord but there were some users who were there saying some pretty spicy things that could have been fedposting so i left that and then joined chapo.chat when it started up.

mainly i like the mix of users and i appreciate the environment that isn't too self-serious, and i find that it's made me do a lot of reflection and learning over the years. i rotate usernames a lot, im just some anonymous shitposter that has not been a staple of the community but i've been here the entire time.

I feel like this sentiment will circulate the liberal press and r/politics for a few days until the party line solidifies on blaming the voters. By Sunday we’ll just be hearing about how racist and sexist voters are with no further examination of what happened.

  • that seems like it wouldn't work very well except maybe for small programs. the kinds of bugs they're trying to catch and prevent here may need substantial changes to the program's design in order to prevent. Like the borrow checker literally does not exist in C and it is not a thing people thought about when writing asynchronous C code. Maybe the AI will take a shortcut and write a bunch of unsafe rust code, but in that case what's the point?
