  • Well that's my point is from the start. This machine requires huge amount of power like 25 MW minimum for firing. Not saying it's not possible but then we have to built a gigantic destroyer with huge nuke reactor and so on. The life of this machine whatever you do will be lower than regular guns, why not use hypersonic missiles to target destroyers or create atomic explosions underwater to destabilize the naval fleet. I meant to say in real case scenario we have more suitable options. Obviously I am not a weapons specialist and dont have insights on the PLA research so we have to wait for further progress. ( It's also my personal opinion)

  • Long story short India is multilevel problem of an entire continent and 1000s of ethnicities. Also, India , Pakistan, Bangladesh and China is a quadrilateral problem. The entire subcontinent is a problem. Let's say when a leader like Imran khan came into Pakistan who really wanted to solve the kashmir issue and who also loved India (India was his biggest fan in old days) , he was removed from office and put in jail. Now idiots and pro Taliban groups are dealing inside Pakistan. Similarly in Bangladesh there is a fight between liberal only in sake Awami league which did nothing to protect Bangladeshi secularism is in clash with Islamist https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangladesh_Nationalist_Party . US is trying to topple the sheikh hasina's government so Bangladesh couldn't allow Russia and China as financial partners. So, we have a strong Islamic extremism in culture in both neighbors of India while Indian Muslims who were pro socialist and communist somewhat slided down to Salafism with Wahabi money and Hajj pilgrimage. These simultaneously brought the sleeping hindutava extremism in 1985 and also because of the collapse of the USSR and people were demoralized with socialist projects and also Maoist extremism. So, with growing religious parties in the world, mainly muslim brotherhood which calls for strict code for civil Islam and political Islam, the sufism inside India and Indian subcontinent downsided. Just open a video from Pakistan in 1970s , people were much into music and dance but all got furiously put down with emergence of Taliban, political fundamental Islam and so on. I personally think we Indian subcontinent people have a common fate because we used to live in the same country for thousands of years. We have to prosper together and to have to find a common way. Along with thousands of years of casteism, feudalism in rural areas and bigotry of the highest kind. It will take maybe 100-500 years for a drastic change. But who knows if America and Russia can have a socialist successful revolution. It can inspire us and we can learn from each other.

EDIT : wikipedia is all wrong about those 2 parties

  • Plasma containment done in TOKAMAKS are pretty good but they have their own plasma instabilities and turbulence. That's why commercial fusion reactors are not ready yet. Regarding this gun, the issue is generally in putting a huge power and then the erosion. I think many countries will try to overcome this by shortening the length of the gun to reduce the Mach no and the erosion. Then why not use traditional hypersonics to kill the destroyer itself. How about creating underwater shockwave with nukes to destabilize the fleet and so on. China has tonnes of monies 🤣 , it is just testing everything. China has dug itself pretty well into Plasma thrusters and fusion reactors. Let's see where it leads to. I also think this rail gun can be used for clearing mountains and rough terrain.

  • Dems are very entrenched with American exceptionalism. When I visit reddit the yanks always come up with kill Putler and hamas like a repetitive parrot. And oh always scaremongering about Trump's era 🤣 , it's like Trump was an alien from outer space. I mean bro, he is a product of your society only.

  • I am not a weapon specialist but I work in Electromagnetics , so producing 1 million amp. requires a great deal of energy and high wear and tear. Again the erosion inside the chamber from which the shell will be ejected will be much more than regular gun. It can be improved with various materials but then again producing this war machine will be much more costlier and repairing it will be much more difficult. From Ukraine war it is clear costly weapons are not much effective if you have intense drone warfare. Iranian cheap drone tech with swarm attack can parallelize these things easily. I understand that its a great leap for researchers on EM tech but again for real war scenario I am not much confident (although rail gun is popular among navies in Asia but personally I see a great flaw in regards to cost and energy consumption).

  • I think its because of US policies and funding of NGO's in Eastern Europe who spread nationalism and anti USSR history throughout. I was listening a podcast of https://open.spotify.com/show/3R28kE3Z0qgqwTWR4C6uBx where an American professor in history told the host that most Russophobic propaganda are spread through various NGOs and Gulag memorial .

I think the early colorful revolutions in central Asia and Europe was to bring all these countries more close to US sphere and thereby strong Russophobia while religion also plays a role but I suppose the background propaganda and intense anti USSR notion in academia and intelligensia also plays a role .

  • if a country is a brought under NATO and EU its bound to be Russophobic. Same as Moldova , Romania and Georgia. Now young generation of Georgia have strong anti Russia sentiment where as in 2008 it was not so much. Kazakhstan also have strong Russophobia, there it seems the Islamophication of certain tribes of Kazakhs has brought anti Russia sentiment.
