  • I appreciate you finding cheaper versions of items such as the power supply and graphics card, but the major point is that I am not trying to purchase anything from Amazon, HP, or NVIDIA because I am following a boycott list. I am only buying parts from Bestbuy, and several of the brands you mentioned in your PC listing were either not available or out of stock. However, I was able to find cheaper items such as the CPU cooler, and I was surprised that the 7900 was the same price as the 7600.

  • I've been looking everywhere for a mouse that was of excellent quality and actually worked, but a lot of them were quite bad. I don't like "gaming mouses" and have never been impressed with the quality of Logitech and Razer's other mouses. The only Logitech that was genuinely nice was the ergonomic one. I've tested it before, and it feels much more pleasant to use. I will still keep looking around but for now, that's the only mouse I plan on getting.

The major reason I chose the 5900X in the first place was since a friend recommended it to me; it was actually not bad for the price, and I expected it to be extremely strong, but it turned out to be too much, so I decided not to get it. I've been looking at the Ryzen 7 5800X3d, but the price went over my budget. So for now, I might plan on getting the 5700X3D.

I was considering getting 16 GB of RAM, but I thought it was best for me to get more, 16 gigabytes of RAM is fine, but I want to reach the full potential of gaming. I didn't want 64GB of RAM; it would have been far too much. So I'm sticking with 32. This is also why I chose a 2TB SSD over 1TB, or anything lower.

I didn't make "Ente", I was saying that's it's a better alternative to Google Photos and Ente doesn't mine your data at all. You can literally check it's source code and privacy policy.

    1. Signal's Desktop app works perfectly fine and it works amazingly on IOS and Android
    2. You aren't supposed to because everything is end-to-end encrypted and with disappearing messages, which is partially the whole point of Signal. That's where you get far more privacy than with Telegram.
    3. It's very unfortunate that you can't install Signal from F-Droid, however you can install it by using their APK and limiting all of it's permissions.

  • I disagree that Matrix is the best option; it's not very user-friendly compared to Signal. Signal has some little issues, but it's still far superior to Telegram and even Matrix. Matrix is simply not ready yet; if you're set to use it, by all means do so, but I still recommend Signal for being the best alternative to Telegram and Whats app. Matrix isn't really for communities, its more for corporations/software development teams who want a self hosted slack

Whatsapp is a whole different discussion for later

  • Telegram requires a phone number as well. If that is a problem, use a burner phone. Additionally, Signal introduced the ability to use a username instead of your phone number. Yes, you need to put up a phone number to make a Signal account, but once your account is created. You can actually activate "Hide your phone number" and utilize the username feature
