I'd argue this is interesting. I mean, not all Wikipedia pages could be considered interesting by many, but OP clearly wanted to start a discussion about it, saying that we know TCP and UDP already, but there are many more.
You can go anywhere and everywhere, but if something is on Wikipedia it doesn't mean that it's uninteresting.
Reacting to the video, not gonna lie, I kinda dig gamifying life. The street warnings are a nice touch, the "get off" bus feature is nice, making the mall nicer is also welcomed (why spend resources on a nice mall when you can have it virtual?).

It sounds like you don't speak from experience. I have all the automation I need. It supports git hooks on top of IDE-only features like code checking.
If I have to fire up my CLI for some mass history rewriting (like changing an author for every commit), or when the repo breaks - so be it. But by not using the CLI I save my fingers and sanity, because committing a bunch of files is several click away with little to no room for error.
I can rebase, patch, drop, rename, merge, revert, cherry pick, and solve conflicts with a click of a button rather than remembering all the commands and whatnot.
JetBrains IDEs, I don't remember the last time I used the CLI.

In PHP, a lot. Unit test are boilerplate 90% of the time, getters and setters (although they can be done via Generate), ORM classes with your default shebang (autoincrement ID), and I could go on and on.
I dislike snippets for code like "key this array by some logic" - this should be reusable via a dedicated helper or service.

Every single time. UI redrawing without user action is one of the worst UX antipatterns. It's being punished for being too fast, yet too slow to click it in the timeframe where there is content you want to click on.

Wouldn't this, in the end, make cars have to shift to a lower gear, thus keeping about the same RPM, and thus eating about the same amount of fuel, which results in about the same volume of the sound produced by the car?
