For now they're only forcing it on websites hosted in spain (they exist???). They say they have plans to talk with ireland, which would include most of Big Tech, but I'm hopeful that this is just virtue signalling, which would be par for the course.

I have so many "tumblr thoughts" throughout the day but since I haven't got an account there I can't post them anywhere else, they wouldn't be accepted unless they were a screencap.

I use fedora as well and I just update through the GUI. It's more stable that way and waiting until I turn off my computer for them to apply is not a big deal.
