I wonder if you've gone out to look for things that have actually improved. So many quality of life indicators in many countries are far better than they were 50 years ago, and that should give you some measure of encouragement. And we need that encouragement because there's a lot of problems that people are running into, and some of those problems feel insurmountable.

It's an interesting thing, because when you have multiple unions actively working to stop Elon musk from doing horrible things with his company, and all he can do is lash out at them, it shows he does not have the mental capacity to bargain which means his company is going to lose more money than they would have, had he used his brain.
That can be true, but it varies a lot. As a teacher, I can guess at a lot but have proof of very little. So I can do things, but maybe you wouldn't even notice them most of the time. You're looking for a suspension, and that only happens in very specific circumstances.

What a sad, sad, article. There is no logical reason why a conflict in Israel/Palestine should affect 90% of the world's economy. The country/countries are very small and not dominant players in any major world industry. So if the claim is true, it only goes to show that the current global economic system is a complete failure. If the claim is false, it goes to show that capitalists will seize any excuse to take our money.
I don't see why you would want to destroy history unless there's some specific need for it. It sounds like the kind of thing where you would like the listings to be clear, but most of the time deletion would be unreasonable.

I've been chatting with friends about this same issue, and here's what we have observed... Many people wanted to "choose sides". They did, and now they can't discuss anything. I believe that is the wrong approach. Because when you choose sides, you choose the starting point, and then you can point to a single horrible event that happened the other day, or fifty years ago, or whenever, and then everything after that is justified because it's "revenge" or "justice" or "they deserved it". And then you either end up justifying terrorism or genocide.
So it's hard to reach people on this issue, but if there is a way, I think it's by actively reframing things. "What is your short-term goal? Do you want to stop the killing? How can we stop people from dying?" By focusing on saving lives, we can sometimes force people to confront the basic problem that their current stance advocates mass murder. Most of the time, you can't reach people, at least not now. But sometimes you can, and even if you fail to make progress right now, sometimes the words you say can give people a hint in the future of how they, too, can act like a decent human being.
The headline is misleading here. The article appears to be mentioning a protest that the Socialist Party was taking against the high food prices, but it actually doesn't give us much information about that and instead talks about how food prices have risen in recent years.
