They sound like boring nerds , if it were me I'd GTFO. I've generally had better luck meeting cool real-life comrades via orgs doing work on the ground, e.g., mutual aid groups, infoshops and community centers, prisoner support networks, etc. I've found sitting around with a bunch of dorks arguing about theory for hours tends to suck most of the time. However I've found working side-by-side with people who may or may not share your exact politics, but are united around a set of common goals to be much more rewarding. YMMV though.

As your doctor and priest, I prescribe 3g shrooms or 1 hit (100-200 mcg) LSD + 2-300 mg ketamine (taken after you've come up and are crusing along nicely from the shrooms/acid), alone in a darkened room with headphones + music (I recommend throbbing gristle/early psychic TV). This is very sound medical and theological advice, don't worry.

Edit: you may wanna do this with a buddy around in the next room, just in case. And be sure to lie down in a comfy place before the K hits, since you'll probably lose track of your body completely while you explore the astral and etheric realms.

I was doing that on and off for a while, then recently decided to invest some time into learning a little bit about strategy and tactics, doing shitloads of "life or death" puzzles, learning some opening theory and playing a bunch of 9x9 games. I still get my ass kicked most of the time when I play online, but I'm finally starting to win games against similarly-ranked players, so it feels like progress, haha. Sensei's library is a good resource for learning stuff, and blacktoplay is good for puzzles (they get harder as you get better, which is cool).
