  • Okay so the latest gold rush is influence, literally every organization that wants an internet presence (mainly tiktok lately) is scooping up anyone who grow an account to 100k+ followers (pretty easy on tiktok) and giving them titles of "Digital Strategist", "Content Optimiser", it's not a fucking talent - it's cool - but it's definitely not like you've done anything special to do that.

    Can't wait for the bubble to come crashing down like the dotcom bubble.

    Also considering he was the minnow and Valeant were the fucking whale of what he did - like what he did was shitty (and a direct result of the perverse incentive structure the broken medical system is) but the vilification of him seems out of line with the actual decrepit fucks who were doi g this on an industrial scale. He at least made the effort to upfront about how his shitfuckery was a direct result of how broken the system is. (Not to defend, it's just weird seeing him used as the poster boy when he wasn't the worst)
