Yeah I don't really want to get too divisive in this thread, as I like the message, but I think a significant problem is that the split wasn't really of the original base, so much as a growth. Of course that's coupled with the background toxicity and tension that already existed.

I wouldn't really describe what's been happening as friction, so much as open hostility. It's not really 1 community, but 2 now. It does suck though I agree.

Yeah transgender circlejerk is way too toxic of a place to absorb. Like I've dabbled there at times, but we don't want that energy there. Letting it spread beyond it's neat boundary wouldn't be good.
