Been seeing a lot of articles/videos that say people in Myanmar are protesting Chinese and Russian involvement. The military junta was pro-US last I heard. Is there any truth to this?

This guy has some interesting videos , he's from a pro-thai perspective but he also talks a lot abt the NED & cites his sources, so i have difficulty debunking him other than "i disagree". He says that protestors & Suu Kyi-ites are the western backed ones, I don't know if thats "The Truth" but its a different perspective than others ive seen.
