I mean I once saw a statistic where something like 40% of Americans thought the right to free healthcare was part of the US Constitution. They grew up soaking up all the propaganda about the US Constitution being this amazing document full of all the good and important rights and extrapolated from there that something as fundamental as universal healthcare must also be in there somewhere.
