    So 80 peasants roughly and 16 soldiers? Okay, next question - would it work?

      medieval castles needed very few personnel, 6 to keep the keep while the other 10 go terrorise any uppity peasants seems reasonable. in short, it'd work.

        Yeah, I also think it’s feasible, if the ruler doesn’t need many servants and doesn’t have family. But also with this scale castles don’t work, it would be like fortified wooden home.

          hmmm this page claims you could need as few as 15 families to support a knight's family---and a manor house is just a petit castle it counts imo.

            Well, 15 families of medieval size is like 150 people (?), for say ten in knight’s family, fairly close. But knight was also supported unlocally (I wonder if there is neat word for this) against rebellion. I was thinking like self-enclosed system.
