It's also got some good Kirk-Spock-Bones banter, and the scene where they confront their fears is genuinely really good. I also like the way it deals with God in the film. Or at least what was claiming to be God for power and control. link

Star Trek V is only good because it has the line "Jim, you don't ask the almighty for his ID"
Star Trek V is a high tier bad movie.
It genuinely is. It sucks so hard, but it's also kind of trying to doing something interesting so I give it a pass.
