Like what, besides literally just the most basic "I like gay" shit is in this case "allowed" at pride because of being "integral" to your sexuality/gender? I deadass just dont understand the logic, if it exists.

Like why is leather "allowed" at pride then, is being a biker integral to your sexuality?(I obviously know the cultural history for leathers association with queer culture, but kink has similar history and associations so this isnt a valid differentiation).

Just boggles me real hard, I know its probably just a bad faith argument but I still wanna find out what the actual possible reasoning is.

The other main arguments aside from the one I mentioned seem to be "kink means you just want to literally slap kids in the face with your nuts, pedo pervert" which of course is self explanatory how bad faith that is.

And "People get too uncomfortable/Some people may have kink related trauma" which to me feels heavily like just selectively applied empathy, I have seen approximately none of these people discuss noise levels at pride in regards to neurodivergent people with sensory issues, of which trans people are overrepresented. And certainly none of these crusaders for accessibility have started attacking people with anywhere near the same viciousness for "Ignoring autistic peoples experiences" or some shit.

Not that accessibility is an invalid concern for pride parades, but don't use it as a bad faith argument where you only care about particular peoples trauma/disabilities. This shit pisses me hard cause I'm autistic myself and pride parades trigger my auditory sensitivity extremely hard which is something I've been forced to accept, and I'm willing to bet there are more autistic trans people than people with "kink trauma" so these people should just stop pretending that they "just care about making pride accessible" and instead openly say why kink has to be purged but other sources of discomfort and triggering trauma is not an issue.
