So in addition to everything you said, this whole "the delta variant only kills unvaccinated people" plays right into the "personal responsibility" / Protestant work ethic BS thing that Americans embrace, liberals and chuds alike. This idea that you are 100% responsible for every outcome in your life, and any bad choices you make are your fault and you are entitled to ZERO help or understanding from other people and certainly from the government. Social context, extenuating circumstances, systematic issues... they're all irrelevant in the face of "muh personal responsibility!"

That's roughly what they've just implemented here in France. If you work in a hospital, a school, etc. you either get vaccinated or you're out of a job (in about 2 months). If you don't work in such a place, you can choose not to get vaccinated but then you can't access restaurants, cinemas, concerts, large supermarkets, etc. unless you've got proof of a negative PCR test from less than 48 hours ago.
And 48 hours still plenty of time to fuckin contract the disease smh

To be fair, only 56% of the adults in my country want to be vaccinated and the government realized it's not getting higher so we started exporting to places like Ukraine and Georgia. The amount of covid cases doesn't actually matter. That's all media fear mongering. The vaccine doesn't actually prevent you from getting covid or not testing positive. It's the hospitalization rates and death numbers.

You can be glad to have access to the vaccine and also wish that the patents would be given freely and the third world should have equal access to the vaccine available. Trust me, the people in the third world will also be grateful to have it when they can get it.
