My wife and son are away on a trip. He's 3 and has never been away from me for more than a day or two, so I thought he'd want to talk on a video call a lot. Whenever I call, all he wants to see is the dog. Literally, if my face appears on his screen, he asks me to put the dog back on so he can virtually pet him.
