      There's also the aspect that many things, such as flu shots, are billed as "free*" and underneath it's "*under most insurance plans". If you're uninsured you quickly learn the rule of thumb that any interaction with the medical system is going to cost you out the ass.

      The "health issue" is that you may feel bad for, like, 3-4 days at worst. Pretty damn close to no one requires medical attention, barring people who have severe allergic reactions. Don't be silly.

          Oh I don't know. Although I did hear about some places that are trying to make it mandatory to have businesses give people one or two rest days to get vaccinated, which should definitely be a thing. But generally I only know one person who had side effects for 3 days, for most of the people who did have them they didn't last very long. I've done only the first dose of Moderna (doing the second one in a couple of days) but at least the first dose didn't give me any side effects at all.
