I enjoyed seeing everyone's music last time we had a thread like this so I figured making another one would be cool!
I've been in a synthwave hole for two years now and can't get out. Here's a few of my favorite recently-discovered bangers:

i don't use spotify, but i've been loving Exuma's self titled album(weird Caribbean folk music), early Sigh(black metal with increasing amounts of prog and avant-garde stuff), Warning - Watching From A Distance(emotionally devastating doom metal), and INRI(early Brazilian black/thrash)((can't post it with the band name as it gets automatically deleted)).
Exuma's first album is the shit. It's like a spiritual cousin to Dr John's Gris Gris album
What sorta genre are those tracks?
They're pretty mixed, but a lot of them are some flavor of punk or emo or grunge-ish, there's some witch house too. Also hell yes @ .44 Caliber Love Letter on your list, I love Alexisonfire!
Tbh I usually go to create a new post, upload an image, copy the link, then discard the post. The image link ends up still working lol. I'm sure there's probably a better way to do it but I'm pretty oblivious haha

Spotify generally isn't the first (or even second) place I go to listen to music, but here's mine. It's all DnB, Jungle or Techno, except for the most recent one, which is a grime track.
What else do you use? Used to be on a shared plan, but not anymore so I would like to do something that doesn't give all the money to the top 5 artists.
YouTube, Soundcloud and Bandcamp, depending on which one is more convenient at any given moment. I don't like the idea of paying a monthly subscription to listen to music, so I either try and listen completely for free, or buy songs outright. Whenever I first tried Spotify, it felt like the way it was set up (on the mobile app at least) was geared towards making it as annoying as possible to use it without paying for premium. I'd already been using Soundcloud/YouTube before trying Spotify, so I just stuck with those.
Bandcamp is my go to for when I actually want to pay money for music. It only gives you a limited number of free listens on each track before it forces you to pay, which is a downside. But there's a lot of music on there that you can't find anywhere else, and artists get a bigger cut of the revenue than iTunes (and a much bigger cut than any streaming services), so it's a good way to directly support artists. Also, I'm a (bedroom) DJ, so a lot of the reason for me using Bandcamp comes down to the fact that I need to get my hands on the actual music files.
Edit: I will say that Soundcloud's mobile app is really slow though, which is pretty annoying. And that listening to music on YouTube became vastly more enjoyable after installing an adblocker. Also, one of my main reasons for using YouTube/Soundcloud is that there's a lot of DJ mixes on them. Lastly, I used iTunes instead of Bandcamp up until a few months ago, and I still use it sometimes, 'cause bigger releases tend to be on iTunes rather than on Bandcamp.
Thanks for the tips. I like to try to get money in the hands of the artists, but Spotify turns out to be even worse at that than I had thought. Streaming works well for me, but it might be time to go back to purchasing my music and streaming it through plex and using YouTube for DJ mixes.

Artist wise, this looks like a playlist I would've listened to back in middle school and the first 2 years of high school lol.

Yeah their early stuff is wild. I have to be in the right mood but those early recordings have some great ideas.
I think I'm strange in that my favorite SY album is "A Thousand Leaves" - it takes me on an adventure. I also dig NYC Ghosts and Flowers a ton, but a lot of people rank that as their least favorite. I think I just love their dissonant groove period.
But yeah of course the EVOL-Dirty run of albums is classic
Its mostly stuff like prince, motown, wrestling themes, and 80s new wave.
