100 Billion Babies killed by GDR, 100 Billion Babies killed by USSR means Communism killed atleast 200 Billion.

Women in the GDR could divorce their husbands if they felt they were trying to prevent them from having a career. Contemporaneously, in the FRG a woman could only get a job if her husband agreed to it and it "didn't interfere with her household duties".

Also absolutely insane that they'd choose the one SSR that was internationally known for having amazing woman's rights as their example.

The GDR had a higher proportion of women in their legislature in the 80s than the US has today (by a wide margin)

Everyone should read Stasi State or Socialist Paradise to find out how cool the GDR was.

Not to mention, it wasn't like the Texas legislature designed this system to get people to "spy" on their neighbors. They just did it this way so medical providers couldn't sue to stop it from being implemented. It's just a trick is all. But a nice example how to GOP plays for keeps while Dems are all like "well gosh we'd love to make sure people earned better wages but that mean ol' parliamentarian said no show sucks I guess you all can just die then".

cannabis has been legalized for medical use in the great state of ohio. the list of qualifying conditions is smaller and more restrictive than in most other states that have medical cannabis programs.

subscribe for more ohio facts from @the_ohio_expert!

You're also only allowed to vape stuff. Even if you buy flower you're supposed to use a dry herb vape. Totally unenforceable, but was something I had no idea about until recently.

Meanwhile I can get whatever I want in Michigan.

          1. ohio fought a "war" with michigan for the rights to toledo. congress had to step in and give michigan the upper peninsula as a concession prize which, in all honesty, is way better than fucking toledo.

          2. columbus, ohio is a popular test market for large national corporations due to its demographic makeup. this leaves the city devoid of any cultural identity (outside of THE ohio state university football) which causes a distinct "focus grouped" feeling to pervade the entire place. best to avoid altogether

          3. cleveland set their river on fire. multiple times. this is one of the more popular ohio facts but it's worth stating nonetheless because the people need to know.

          4. driving through ohio do indeed be like corn corn corn soybeans corn "hell is real sign" (it is real and it's ohio) corn soybeans corn suburbs suburbs suburbs suburbs corn

          5. ohio's infrastructure is consistently shitty across the board. this is despite the fact that everything is getting repaired all the time. if you needed proof that car is bad, look no further than the apparently sisyphean task of keeping ohio's roads usable.

I mean at least they're sort of understanding reality and sort of logically consistent via their own ridiculous logic

recognizing that Texas is like the mythical evil Soviet Union I have in my head, is still better than pretending Texas is le bastion of individual rights

    but seriously, xi plz
