        My first teenage salvia trip was in a very similar house in an identical suburban neighborhood, and no joke I was a little freaked out about the prospect of being trapped in the tiny Beetlejuice town for like 20 minutes afterwards.

    And there are HOAs that force you to have one. You get out of the rental cycle and bam mow your goddamn lawn like a good citizen.

    I feel like, especially for a property this small, I'd rather just have a concrete pad that I can store vehicles or work on stuff on or something. Turf is still better than actual grass, though

      I guess you don't have to mow it or water it, but it's pretty fucking ironic that the "eco-friendly" option for a lawn is literally a petroleum-based product which sheds microplastics.

      Seriously fuck whoever convinced people a litter carpet was the way to go instead of dirt with local plants (or just dirt)
