I'll go first: He would still be fighting for the abolition of slavery in America.

John Brown would have gotten along well with George Jackson, who believed that the proletariat were to be found in this nation's prisons.

George is the reason that Marxist literature is banned in most prisons. It's banned because he lead an armed insurrection and killed prison guards.

Oh, that's a good one. He'd be absolutely irate about fundamentalists.

He'd be fighting for the exact same things, because abolition was never truly accomplished.

That's one of the answers I was looking for! Want to explain that more for folks?

There's a lot of overlap between these two. I wish Van Spronsen had been able to organize more comrades to help him. To be fair, the complexity of doing something like this has increased in the modern age thanks to the security state.

Abolition is abolition is abolition. No one's free until we're all free. Bullet in the head of every border agent, prison guard, and police officer, please and thank you.

If John brown were alive today, he would be sitting in his home posting hot takes on Twitter.com like the rest of us.

Makes you wonder if that’s the real purpose of all this. Listening to podcasts, posting and maybe giving a few bucks to a left political campaign makes you feel like you’ve done something while only alienating us further. None of us are ever gonna get together with our Twitter followers and start a movement if we get that same dopamine hit from a bunch of likes and retweets. It’s a psyop

If you think using an alt does anything to the feds, you've got a lot to learn. Also, you're on a list already just for posting here to begin with.

It's not for the feds, it's for any kiwi farmers playing along at home.

Probably human trafficking or prison abolition. I dunno I think if he tried to join modern lefty orgs they would call him crazy and tell him to fuck off. He'd basically be Micah Johnson.

Seriously, use an alt if you're going to get spicy. It's a good convo to have. I am not telling anyone to do adventurism.

Armed revolution must be organized and have the support of the proletariat. If you move too far ahead of the people, they will turn on you and retreat to the devil they know.

John Brown was right at the cusp of that in his own time. He and the other revolutionaries who fought alongside him effectively set off the civil war, so I'd say he stuck the landing despite being martyred.
