  • i think people who were raised christian will just uncritically accept the prejudices that instilled, even after they leave the church. i have friends who were raised protestant and are now firmly anti-theist who will still refer to "christians and catholics" and genuinely don't seem to know or fully believe that catholics are also christian.







  • Sure, a ton of Americans don't really know or care about Palestine, but you know who does? The progressive liberal activists who form the vanguard of Dems' ground game, and are following accounts that put pictures of massacred civilians on their social media feeds. The party's ongoing efforts to completely excise the people who do the most to make sure they win seats is actually gonna fucking kill the party finally. In 12 years the only people who will still be voting for them will be CPUSA members.







  • i mean it's a puppetshow version of how real organizing happens, right? an organization flourishes through the efforts of a small number of people who are contributing the majority of the time, effort, and resources, and even if the structure is pretty horizontal or the administrative group is transparent and open, detractors will inevitably focus on how their outsize control and influence signifies that they are separated from the rank and file.
