It owns that Trump is the closest we can come to a left-wing critique of Powell outside of fringe parts of the internet like here. The rest of the MSM is tripping over themselves to eulogize his sterling record and Trump's the only one at least acknowledging that he sucked. Of course Trump is attacking him for not being republican enough and not being a war criminal, but it's something.

one war criminal attacking another war criminal for not being enough of a war criminal, amazing left wing critique.

more like state of this site to call this a left wing critique.

remember when a poster asked if he should work in Raytheon instead of a ‘greenhouse gas emitting’ company and half the comments said working for Raytheon is A-OK? Fuck that ‘left wing’ critique.

I assumed it was a making fun of Dems talking about greening the military in recent years.

No I'm not that clever, I was just job hunting and the only ones that payed well were either in the oil industry or a subsidiary of a subsidiary of Raytheon and thought it was the kind of "moral dilemma" this site likes to make fun of. I eventually found a community college to apply to.

Oh yeah, a friend of mine ended up in one or the big tech companies, but outside of weird startups every job posting was from MIC places. She started out getting a master's because she wanted to design prosthetics, so it was a major letdown that there really wasn't anything remotely close lol.

One of my friends got fired from the shop and got hired about a month later as a QA inspector at a new place. After about a week on the job it became apparent that they were making weapons for the IDF. Even though she was in a tough financial spot, she quit immediately. I was really proud of her when I found out.

The joking "close to left wing critique" description is more about this first part of Trumps quote, while the later half is about Powell sucking for not supporting him

Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and the so called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the Fake News Media.

Which yeah, its embarassing that the "left wing" politicians couldnt even do and call out this. Its legit to point out the absurdity and shittiness that is this "reminder" of the WMD and Iraq stuff not coming from the Bernie's and "squads" of the US but from Trump

"one war criminal attacking another war criminal" is what people would be happy for if Bernie pointed these things out. In this case, since Trump is obviously an extremely self serving and evil human being its just legit to shake your head that the bare minimum of mentioning or alluding Powells crimes has come from him

Well there's alt media places like the majority report, which are arguably also fringe, but basically cable news compared to here, lol.

Literally jealous of the attention a dead man is getting. His brain is truly one of a kind folks. Also kind of strange to see him acknowledge his own mortality, he definitely thinks dying is the ultimate form of weakness.

I cannot believe he said "I hope" about something that would occur after his death. It's just bizarre given what we know about the man.

Reminder that those mistakes were not endorsing Trump and criticizing Trump. Not the things that you think are mistakes.

The title is in no way doing our Poster In Chief justice

      The full tweet is:

Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and the so called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the Fake News Media. Hope that happens to me someday. He was a classic RINO, if even that, always being the first to attack other Republicans. He made plenty of mistakes, but anyway, may he rest in peace!

So many liberals on Twitter defending Colin Powell only because Trump doesn't like him. Blue MAGA becomes truer every day

Articles are starting to come out doing it too. CNN is piling on him right now for daring to insult the legacy of Colin Powell

One of the only good things Trump has done is demean people like Powell, even if the only reason he does it is because Powell was critical of him and did not vote for him

Eh, liberals liked Powell long before Trump since he was basically a Democrat in all but name since like, 2008.

It's the Jon Stewart Effect. When you're literally the only person in the room who is allowed to have a good opinion, you look like a fucking genius simply by comparison.

Sadly, as a politician, he was Michael Jordan to an aspiring baseball player.

You aspire to shitpost as hard as Trump

That man was birthed into clout. He was the failson to rule all failsons. A natural born poster. How can I do anything but Stan?
