There's a third person who's sort of realised the monumental scale of the task, the utter disinterest and outright hostility towards solving it of those in power and concluded that resistance is futile and ignoring the problem and hoping the greenzone not catastrophically affected by climate change will stay large enough for your lifetime for you to be in it, is probably your only shot at a reasonably happy life.
I'm not really sure that's an option for anyone under 40 at this point. Personally, I'm trying to get friends and family relocated to Colorado and Vermont as those are the two states predicted to be hit the least in the next 20 years or so, but even then, that's not a long term plan for their kids.
