Had the wind blown the other way they could have offed the whole Salt Lake City

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VX_(nerve_agent)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dugway_sheep_incident#Incident

So I was reading the wiki article about "The Stand" and found this a few clicks away.

Now every single bullshit claim about "X brown-country-leader using gas bioweapons against their civilians" is far far richer

Also this, "oh oopsie we developed a nervous gas for the nazis, we were deff trying to make insecticides" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerhard_Schrader

I'm torn because I can so see covid coming from a wet market by accident and I can also see it coming from a USA bio-weapons lab and blamed on China instead.

Going by the consistent and perpetual need for Fascists and Right-Wing Conservatives to project their god-awful shit onto others. As soon as Rubio, Hawley, and others started pushing the "Covid came from a lab", I seriously considered how easy it would have been for the CIA to deploy a virus and have it completely backfire go according to plan.

Both theories are still on the table. There is no need to make up your mind right now. In fact, you shouldn't.

The funny thing about the bio-weapons lab theory is, because while we technically know the Chinese were trying to do that, the Department of Energy actually released it in Wuhan to sabotage Xi, but more specifically target the top engineers on Huawei's secret upcoming product meant to topple the Apple M1 Max, but it got way out of hand and accidentally did more damage to the US economy.

This and Operation Seabreeze Seaspray really goes to show how expendable they consider us all to be. No safety from the war machine, even for citizens in the imperial core

          Ah, thanks. Also lmao:

Serratia marcescens and Bacillus globigii bacteria were sprayed over the San Francisco Bay Area in California, in order to determine how vulnerable a city like San Francisco may be to a bioweapon attack.[1][2][3][

"We decided to test how vulnerable the city would be to a bioweapon attack by doing a bioweapon attack."

In humans, S. marcescens can cause an opportunistic infection in several sites,[12] including the urinary tract, respiratory tract, wounds, and the eye, where it may cause conjunctivitis, keratitis, endophthalmitis, and tear duct infections. It is also a rare cause of endocarditis and osteomyelitis (particularly in people who use intravenous drugs recreationally)

Oh I see what they were doing

Shit like this is a better explanation for disease and mental illness than vaccines. I don’t get how anti Vaxxers never seem to care about shit like this.

Note that the first reaction was to deny anything happened and protect themselves from the consequences of their actions.

This immunity to consequence is THE major reason power continues as it does. We must not be allowed to tell each other about the misdeeds of the powerful. Remember when the entire mainstream media closed ranks to protect Biden from the Tara Reade rape accusation and the Hunter Biden laptop story? Like that.

Oh but didn't you read that the Chemical Corps branch of the army was almost disbanded!

They almost faced consequences for such horrendous actions. It's not like they kept doing the same shit but secreter now, oh no.

Utahns living in St George used to go watch nuclear testing in the desert all the time and experienced tons of fallout blowing their way. Some people are still dealing with the health effects.

And it’s popularly believed in Salt Lake that Dugway will be used as a calibration spot for the military to test their aim before they fire missiles for real. You can hear booms in the valley every once in a while from their training missions.

I remember, back in the Army, during a Combat Lifesaver class the medics going through the book and doing the checklist about NBC warfare stuff.

After all the "box checking" lectures were done, the medics low key told us that's it wasn't a bad idea to keep one round in the pocket of your NBC gear jacket, "just in case".

Even a mild level of exposure to some of these agents cant even be treated AFAIK. Like theres only so much antidote (generally atropine) they can give you when your nerve endings are just completely saturated in the stuff. And because theyre so potent you have to be completely ensconced in protective gear, a simple gas mask wont help when its being absorbed by your skin.

On the plus side, usually the stuff that can be absorbed dermal stops being a problem as soon as it stops being a liquid.

On the minus side, never figured out if stuff that dried could be reactivated if it got wet again.
