Quite convincing argument about the American experiment being finished in Nov. 2024.

Christ, this article. At least they acknowledge that the dems are unwilling to play to win, but even when I was a lib this would have been insulting.

Thousands of votes will be thrown away

Voting machines can be trivially rigged and we've known that for, what, 20 fucking years?

The winner will be declared the loser

The Supreme Court did this to Gore in 2000 and he accepted because libs love civility.

    lumpen Trumpers

The class character of Jan 6 was petit-bourgeois.

    wah wah cops were hurt

The cops are on Trump's side.

Citing the Pentagon to refute Q theories

The intelligence agencies and MIC have admitted they have scores of fascists in their ranks, they're not the good guys.

Trump and Milosevic both talk about foreigners attacking the country!

All right-wingers (including liberals) use ethnonationalist rhetoric, this isn't new.

The insurrectionists have a similar base as the IRA

    :ira:

...and that's where I tapped out, this is just too long.

Holy shit though the part about the unhinged Q-general who thinks it was a false-flag carried out by antifa spec-ops because "some guy said he heard some other guy say they were playing antifa" and that they "looked like SOF people" is hilarious. Likewise, all the concern about "wait these 'normal americans' are fascists" makes me wonder if some libs will end up realizing they need wide-scale purges and re-education camps.

I think you have to separate brain worms from kernels of truth, so as to not be blindsided. Fascism need white grievance, yes, but also buyin from national bourgeoisie, which they just might get from petit/national one scared by worker strikes

I feel like the actual national bourgeoisie would buy into a "peaceful" fascist coup already. The only thing they're concerned with is short-term profitability, which means they want to avoid a civil-war-like scenario. This "peaceful" transition needs overwhelming numbers of fascists in the high offices of government and the military to carry it out, and the way things are going, we'll definitely get there in the future, but 2024 might not be it yet.

But they are orchestrating precisely that: electoral shenanigans at lower levels, which give just enough space for military say “eh”, dems say :vote: harder, so - peaceful.

Totally. But the neo-cons have done it before, and it's entirely separate from Jan 6th. About the only thing that the riot was useful for is as a barometer for the political climate. The willingness of militia-types to take up arms doesn't seem like it will have much to do with the success of american fascism.
